Legal Oblique Tech

Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information, written in plain language.

This Privacy Policy explains how Oblique Tech Corp. (“Oblique Tech”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit obliquetech.com or contact us through it.

Who we are

Oblique Tech Corp. decides how and why your personal information is used on this website. You can reach us at [email protected] for any question about this policy or your information.

Information we collect

  • Project enquiries. When you use the contact form we collect your name, work email, phone number (optional), company, the service you are interested in, your budget range and the project details you write.
  • Email signup. If you subscribe to article updates, we collect your email address.
  • Comments. If comments are open on an article and you leave one, we collect the name, email address, website (optional) and comment you submit, together with your IP address.
  • Emails you send us. Anything you include when you write to us directly.
  • Technical data. Like most websites, our servers and our security provider process your IP address, browser type and the pages requested so the site loads and stays secure.

We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools on this website.

How we use your information

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare proposals.
  • To send articles and updates, if you subscribed.
  • To publish and moderate comments.
  • To keep the website secure and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (email signup and comments); our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, securing the website and preventing spam); steps taken at your request before a contract (project enquiries); and legal obligation.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website: our web hosting provider, Cloudflare (security and content delivery) and the email delivery service that sends the messages generated by our forms. They process information only to provide those services to us. Enquiry details are seen only by the Oblique Tech team members who need them to respond. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. Enquiries are kept while we discuss or deliver a project and for a reasonable period afterwards. Email signups are kept until you ask us to stop. Comments are kept until they are removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents may ask what personal information we hold and ask us to delete it; we do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Oblique Tech works with clients globally and our service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Articles include share links to services such as LinkedIn and X. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave our website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
